More about the Health Insurance Marketplace (ACA/Obamacare)

Coverage is Affordable: Quality health coverage continues to be even more affordable and accessible.

Lower Prices: 4 out of 5 HealthCare.gov customers find health coverage for $10 or less per month with financial help.

More People Qualify: Whether you are uninsured, don’t get insurance through your job, or if you are looking to find health coverage at a lower cost – the Open Enrollment Period is for you! Open Enrollment runs from November 1st to January 15th.

Quality Plans: Marketplace offers quality, comprehensive health insurance plans that provide coverage for doctor visits, emergency care, behavioral health care, preventive care, hospital care, and prescription drugs.

The Affordable Care Act was designed to increase health insurance quality and affordability, lower the uninsured rate by expanding insurance coverage and reduce the costs of healthcare. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, often shortened to the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and nicknamed Obamacare, is a United States federal statute enacted by the 111th United States Congress and signed into law by President Barack Obama on March 23, 2010. Under the act, hospitals and primary physicians would transform their practices financially, technologically, and clinically to drive better health outcomes, lower costs, and improve their methods of distribution and accessibility.
