Day 3 – Summit On Aging & Health Wraps Up Conference
The 14th Annual Show Me Summit on Aging & Health came to a close today in Columbia, MO, but not before participants received a full course of informational and educational presentations.
The day started with comments from Randall Williams, the new director of the Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services. He was followed by a presentation from Sam Plaster of MODHSS discussing the steps necessary to change our culture from one of institutional care for seniors to a person-directed home model.
Breakout sessions covering topics including tech and academics wrapped up the morning and the day ended on a light note with a presentation entitled “Humor in the Workplace” by Dr. Novella Perrin.
