The Annual Show Me Summit on Aging & Health convenes together professionals, advocates, and leaders from across Missouri to explore innovative approaches to aging well. We invite you to contribute your expertise and insights by submitting a proposal to present at our 2026 conference.

Share Your Expertise

Presenting at the summit is a unique opportunity to share your work, connect with peers, and help shape the future of aging services in our state. We are looking for dynamic, engaging, and informative sessions that provide attendees with practical knowledge and new perspectives.

Who Should Submit a Proposal?

We welcome submissions from a diverse range of voices and experiences, including:

  • Professionals in aging services
  • AAA and Senior Center Leaders
  • Researchers and academics in the field of gerontology
  • Practitioners from community-based organizations
  • Healthcare professionals and administrators
  • Policymakers and government officials
  • Advocates for older adults and their families

Suggested Session Topics

We are particularly interested in presentations that address key issues in aging. While we welcome all relevant topics, proposals may focus on areas such as:

Healthy Aging & Resilience

Nutrition; Social Isolation; Behavioral Health; Dementia; Veterans’ Services; Accessibility;   Transportation; Medicaid/Medicare/Managed Care; Social Connection

Innovation

Technology; Data Information; Virtual Programming; Artificial Intelligence; Research;   Emerging Technologies/Trends; Virtual Programming; Intergenerational Programming

Advocacy & Justice

Advocacy for older adults; fraud prevention; Equity in Aging – Closing the Longevity Gap..

Leadership/Advocacy/Fiscal

Business Acumen; Fiscal Management; Senior Center Management; Information and Data; Marketing/Outreach; Governance; Contract Planning and Management; Planning; Continuity of Leadership

Submission Guidelines

  1. Session Title: A clear and concise title (10-word limit).
  2. Key Point of Contact and Contact Info for All Presenters (3 presenters max)
  3. Brief Bio (s) for each Presenter (2-3 sentence max)
  4. Session Description: A brief overview of your presentation for the program agenda (125 word max)
  5. Session Description-Expanded: Expand on above to share with the Summit Review Committee (250 word max)

*Presentations will be 45 minutes long.
