Throughout the past year and a half, ma4 teamed up with the DHSS to support the Master Plan on Aging. Missouri’s ten Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs) worked with DHSS to carry out a statewide Needs Assessment. This initiative included ten in-person Town Hall Listening Sessions at Senior Centers throughout every region of the state, capturing valuable input from individuals in every region. Thousands of Missourians contributed their insights, helping to outline the key areas of focus for the Master Plan.

In addition to the Town Halls, ma4 contracted with a national firm, POLCO, to conduct a comprehensive and statistically significant Needs Assessment across the state to further identify needs of Missouri’s older adults, adults with disabilities, and caregivers.

Funding for this Needs Assessment was generously provided by the Missouri Foundation for Health, Health Forward Foundation, Missouri’s Area Agencies on Aging, and ma4. The survey was custom designed by Polco in consultation with the State of Missouri, Department of Health and Senior Services, the Governor’s Master Plan on Aging Advisory Committee, and ma4.
