Join ma4, the Missouri Silver-Haired Legislature (SHL) and the Missouri Council on Aging (MCoA) in Jeff City to advocate for Missouri Seniors!
Our collaborative advocacy day will bring together advocates, professionals, and community members across Missouri to raise awareness about important issues impacting older adults. Lt. Governor David Wasinger will share remarks to begin the day.
Advocates are encouraged to arrive at the Missouri State Capitol by 8:30 am for the January 28 Advocacy Day.
In preparation and to learn more about the Advocacy Day, MCoA is hosting a Pre-Event advocacy virtual meeting on January 21st at 11:00 am. Please REGISTER HERE for the Joint Advocacy Pre-Event.
“This Joint Advocacy Day reflects the importance of sharing accurate information and lived experiences with state leaders,” said Stacy Morse, Executive Director of the Missouri Council on Aging. “By working together and ensuring advocates feel informed and prepared, we can elevate the voices of older Missourians and highlight the programs and services that support aging with dignity, choice, and independence.”
“By uniting our voices, we are advocating for stronger aging programs and caregiver resources that ensure choice and independence for all Missourians as they age, ” said Julie Peetz, Executive Director of the Missouri Association of Area Agencies on Aging (ma4).
Please join us and help make Missouri a place where we can all age well!
