Wehrle Crowned Queen In Central Missouri Nursing Home Competition

Alice Wehrle, of Oak Tree Villas in Jefferson City was named queen in the regional Nursing Home Competition on July 18. She was chosen from a group of eight women who competed for the title by recounting stories of interest from their lives and by answering questions from a panel of judges.

In one part of her interview she noted that she had gone parasailing along a Mexican beach at age 65, and also noted that in high school the boys thought she was pretty good looking. Alice is 92.

Wehrle will compete for the statewide title in August in Branson, MO.
