SB 192 – The Senior Services Growth And Development Program

Senate Bill 192, also known as the “Senior Services and Development Program” is a bill designed to designate a portion of Missouri’s Insurance Premium Tax for senior services throughout the state. the bill would dedicate 10% of the annual revenues from that fund to various programs that support senior services and health care initiatives and would insure that those funds are available in the future.

This bill helps eliminate the fluctuations in general revenue funding that have occurred over the past decade; addresses the cuts to senior programs that have occurred during that same time period; and recognizes the fact that Missouri’s senior population is GROWING, not declining, due to recognized poluation trends.
