Region X AAA Searching For New CEO

The Area Agency on Aging, Region X will be hiring a new CEO for the agency. The CEO is responsible for implementing the policies of the Board of Directors of the agency, providing leadership and management to the agency and for ensuring that the agency has a prominent, strongly supported public image in the community. The person chosen will have:

  • A Master’s degree in Business, Social Services or related discipline; or a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in a for profit, corporate, non-profit or public sector role, which would include at least three years in a senior leadership or executive position.
  • A strong background in financial management. They will have a proven track record of creating and overseeing a significant annual budget, of assessing an organization’s financial performance/health, and of identifying and implementing new strategies for increasing revenues and containing costs.
  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building and communication skills in order to effectively cultivate trust-based relationships with all staff members and key external stakeholders.
  • Superior written and public presentation skills, a proficient user of digital technology and be a user of social media within the business environment. Knowledge and experience in grant writing is a plus.
  • Must pass all background checks required.
  • Must have valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, access to reliable transportation and ability to travel, as job requires.
