Missouri Delegation Attends n4a National Convention


Representatives of the Missouri Association of Area Agencies on Aging are taking part in educational and advocacy programs offered by the n4a (National Association of Area Agencies on Aging) at their annual conference, held this year in Philadelphia, PA. As a part of this year’s n4a Conference & Tradeshow in Philadelphia, 38 programs were recognized during n4a’s 11th Annual Aging Innovations & Achievement Awards ceremony. Top Innovations Award winners received “big checks” presented during this morning’s General Session. This year’s top winners are:

$2500: United Way’s Area Agency on Aging of Tarrant County, Resources for Enhancing Alzheimer’s Caregiver Health (REACH II)

$1500: Area Office on Aging of Northwestern Ohio, Inc., Housing and Supportive Services for Older Adults

$1000: Elder Services of the Merrimack Valley, Inc., Making Life Care Choices—Health Care Choices and Advance Planning

 Among the n4a Aging Achievement Award winners was the Southwest Missouri Office on Aging, in the category “Civic Engagement” for its Santa’s Little Helper program.
