Missouri Area Agencies Ready For Healthcare Open Enrollment

(El Dorado Springs Sun) -Care Connection for Aging Services will once again provide help to consumers who need to enroll in the Health Insurance Marketplace, Executive Director Diana Hoemann has announced.
Care Connection has trained “navigators” who can provide education and one-on-one assistance for enrollment in the Marketplace created by the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare.

The Open Enrollment period for individuals interested in Health Insurance Marketplace coverage for 2016 will begin this year on Nov. 1.
Care Connection will have navigators who will guide people through the choices of health insurance during an enrollment event from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 5 in Dockery 205 on the University of Central Missouri campus. People may park in the visitors’ lot at South and Maguire streets, adjacent to Dockery. The agency will have several other enrollment opportunities as well in all 13 counties where it operates.

Care Connection is one of eight non-profit agencies participating in this effort after the federal Department of Health and Human Services named Missouri Association of Area Agencies on Aging (MA4) as an official Health Insurance Marketplace Navigator organization for the third straight year.
The statewide group will incorporate its network of Area Agencies on Aging and senior centers – including Care Connection – to help people make informed decisions when choosing among health insurance coverage options offered through the Health Insurance Marketplace.
