Still Time To Support Older Americans Act Programs: UPDATE
UPDATE: 18 United States Senators have submitted a letter in support of funding for Older Americans Act programs. A copy of that letter is attached here. (CLICK FOR DOWNLOADABLE COPY OF THE LETTER.)
The U.S. Congress is currently considering funding for key programs related to the Older Americans Act programs, Elder Justice Act, Medicare Part D and other programs important to seniors throughout the United States. The National Association of Area Agencies on Aging is leading an advocacy effort designed to demonstrate the importance of these key programs.
Some of the work has already been completed, but there is still more to do.
A copy of a letter sent to key members of Congress is attached that outlines key areas of the budget under consideration. (CLICK HERE TO VIEW AND PRINT A COPY OF THE LETTER.)
Please read the letter, then compose a letter of your own from your state or local agency. Or call your representative in Congress or either Senator Blunt or McCaskill to add your voice of support for these important programs.
Time is of the essence, so we encourage your participation today.
