Missouri Legislators Looking For Senior Program Funding Solutions

Maryville Daily Forum – Rep. Allen Andrews (R) – Grant City is looking for optional funding sources for senior programs in Missouri that lost funding when Governor Grietens vetoed HCB 3, a bipartisan bill approved by both the Missouri House and Senate during the regular session. Options include reconsideration of the legislation during the upcoming veto session scheduled for September 13, or some other changes to the current budget that would redirect funds to senior programs.

According to an article in the Maryville Daily Forum, the Nodaway County Senior Center will lose 100% of its state and federal funding if the legislature fails to act.
